We like riding bikes!

We are a diverse group of people living in the Bishops Castle area with one thing in common - we like riding bikes! We organise rides for riders of all abilities, and we are affiliated to Cycling UK for the protection of all.

Rides are on the first Wednesday of the month. Rides are normally "meet at destination" rides, enabling riders of all abilities to meet at a place and time to socialise together.

In addition, an informal "further, faster" group meets each Wednesday at the Six Bells Pub. You should use the link below to contact us if you think you might want to join this ride for the first time, so that we can let you know if it's going to be right for you.

Over the Hills to Kerry Vale

by Kay Radford

A drizzly start to the day but the weather improved as the ride progressed. Five of us set off from the Community College and with John and Paul in the lead the pace was pretty quick. Up the hill from Colebatch to Cefn Einion and Marddu then the long slow climb up to Anchor. A really good ride with the fantastic sweeping descent down towards Kerry.

At Kerry Vale Vineyard we rendezvoused with the others who had made their way on a rather less hilly route – 12 of us in all. Lunch was delicious as always at Kerry Vale although no one partook of the wine. One puncture on the way home and we arrived back in sunshine! Another great Sunday ride.

Yorkshire Dales Trip 11-15 September 2017

Glynn Roberts has written a full account of this trip, which you will find in the list of "pages" at the top of this site. I wasn't there unfortunately, but it sounds like they had a lot of fun!
